D.El.Ed. lecturers attended the webinar for 6 days from 20th June to 25th June 2022, which was organised by the central institute of Educational Technology. The following were the themes for the webinar; Specific Learning Disabilities (day 1), Teaching-Learning Interventions for Inclusive Manifestations – SLD in Classrooms (day 2), SCERT Webinar – Teaching-Learning Interventions for Inclusive SLD – Building Synergies. (day 3), Learning Disability – Inclusion (day 4), Teaching-Learning Interventions for Inclusion – Living with SLD (specific
learning disability) (day 5).
The webinar highlighted many teachers and administrators who actually have been caught between conflicting schools of thought about how to teach reading and how to help students who are not progressing easily. All children should acquire the ability to recognize and print both upper and lowercase letters with reasonable ease and accuracy, develop familiarity with the basic purposes and mechanisms of reading and writing, and develop age-appropriate language comprehension skills.
