On Friday, October 4, 2024, S.Y.D.El.Ed students visited the Solid Waste Management Plant in Cacora, South Goa, for the environmental tour. The students arrived at their destination at 10:15 a.m. Mr. Gouresh Dessai, an engineer, provided guidance to the students. He raised awareness among the students about the significance of appropriate garbage disposal while also helping them to comprehend the procedures and mechanisms involved in solid waste management. The students arrived at the institute at 1:00 pm, after the guided tour concluded at 11:45 am.
Mrs. Ruchira R. Hegde and Ms. Steffi Fernandes were the two educators who accompanied the students. The pupils had a more profound appreciation for the significance of appropriate waste management after the eye-opening visit.
