On June 24 2023, “Monsoon Mania” took place at St. Joseph Vaz Institute of Education. The event was organised by the second-year students event for D.EL. ED section of St. Joseph Vaz Institute of Education. The event had two motives behind its celebration, one, to welcome the monsoon and two, the celebration of Saint John the Baptist day. The hosts for the event were the class representative and the assistant class representative, Renosha and Sister Ramila. Before the commencement of the event Rev. Prof. Simao Diniz the administrator spoke few words and highlighted the importance of the day.

The event began with three off- stage competition that was umbrella painting, wild flower arrangement and Kopel making. The competition was between the first years and second years of D. El. Ed section. Then were the two on-stage competitions, the traditional song and comic comedy. Every student participated in the event and showcased their creativity with confidence. By the time the judges calculated the scores, two students from second year presented a small skit for the entertainment of the audience, Snacks were distributed too. Later, the winners were announced. Second years being the winners, winning three competitions and first years being the runner up. Before the end of the event, the coordinator Prof. Dr. Allan Abreo said a few words of appreciation and the organisers delivered the vote of thanks.
