We teacher trainees from SJVIE began our internship from 30th January to 17th February 2023. A lot of work had to be completed for this internship. A lot of work was assigned by the teachers which had to be completed during the internship. All throughout our internship we spent our days giving lessons, conducting competition and many more… One of the main task was giving lessons to students. The FY’s had to give 9 lessons in total in 7 different subjects, i.e Mathematics, English, Konkani, EVS, Physical Education, Work Education and Art. Also the SY’s had to
give their lessons.
The list of activities conducted during the internship were;
1. Cultural Activities.
2. Co-curricular Activities.
3. Physical Activities.
4. Social Talk.
5. Assemblies.
6. Prepared a Teaching Aid Model.
7. Prepared Charts for the Bulletin Board.
8. Conducted Substitution Activities.
Individually, all the students had different experiences during this internship. The students were sometimes very difficult to control. As the time passed, we completed the assigned work which was given to us. The activities we conducted in schools, as teacher trainees we enjoyed lot and got the best experience with the students in the schools. Substitution classes were fun where we started to bond with students. We also observed, that small children want more attention which the teachers are sometimes unable to give as it sometimes gets difficult to handle lot of students and each child is different from each other.
As we were 4-5 members in group we divided are work equally. Sometimes there were small conflicts between the members because of the work given as there was less time and too much work.
As teacher trainees of SJVIE we got to learn many new things during this internship. and one thing I learned the most is there should be a good and healthy relationship between a teacher and students. Also, as teacher trainees we all tried to be at are best behaviours throughout the course of the internship
