18th June is celebrated as the Goa Revolution day across the state of Goa. To mark this day of historic importance, this day was celebrated on 17th June 2023 in our institute. The assembly was attended by the students of F.Y. D.El.Ed, S.Y. D.EL.Ed and the teaching staff of the D.EL.Ed section. The entire assembly was based on the Goa revolution day. The theme of the assembly was “Through Discipline, comes freedom”. After the introduction, the prayer was said and the hymn was sung. The thought for the day was read that stated, discipline is
the real weapon that brings unity in the country. Konkani newspaper “Bhangarbhui” was read by one of the trainee teacher. Teacher trainees belonging to the assembly group performed a small skit based on Goa revolution day. In the skit, the students enacted the sequence of events that occurred on 18th June 1946. Student's enacted the role of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia, Dr. Julianv Menezes, the goan people and the Portuguese official. After the skit, one of the trainee teacher read the message that focused on the qualities that Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia possessed and how we can inculcate those qualities in ourselves. At the end, one of the trainee teacher recited a poem in Konkani. The Assembly was concluded by singing the national anthem.
