Ganesh Chaturthi was celebrated at St. Joseph Vaz Institute of Education on 4th September 2024, with the BSC and D.El.Ed sections collaborating on the event. The theme of the day was “invoking blessings for all” Competitions were organized for both sections, including rangoli and thali decoration for D.El.Ed. trainees and rangoli and Modak making for B.Sc. students, with a focus on eco-friendly practices. The D.El.Ed. trainees were divided into teams, and the competitions were judged by faculty members from both sections. Following the competitions, a prayer service was held, featuring a group song and prayer dance by the D.El.Ed. trainees. Rev. Prof. Simao R. Diniz and Ms. Angela Serrao, the acting principal, spoke on the significance of the festival. The winners were announced, with Group 10 from the second year winning the rangoli competition and Group 7 from the second year winning the thali decoration competition. The event concluded with a sense of joy and unity.
