On 25 March 2023, the students of FY.D.EL.ED organised a farewell get together for the students of SY.D.EL.ED at St. Joseph Vaz Institute of Education Cortalim. The theme said that ‘Your wings already exists, all you have to do is fly.’ The programme started at 11:30 AM and the hosts for the same were Ms. Ayesha Shaikh and Ms. Jennifer Fernandes.
The programme started with a short prayer service followed by the lighting of the lamp by Rev. Prof. Simon Diniz, administrator of St. Joseph Vaz Institute of Education, Sir Allan Abreo, our coordinator, Sir Ratish Gaonkar, lecturer at St. Joseph Vaz Institute of Education followed by Ms. Snifa student of SY.D.EL.ED and Ms. Sheriyen Fernandes student of FY.D.EL.ED.
Then we had team Lily with their melodious voices singing the welcome song. To bring some excitement to the programme the hosts organised a game (stamping the tail) and the winner of the game was Ms. Presha. One small act of kindness can change the other persons life forever, we had team Dandelions with a short skit showcasing the life of a teacher through the same with a wonderful representation of ‘teach and touch lives’.
And then there was a spot prize going out to anyone having a wallpaper of a butterfly on their cellphone and Ms. Divina won the same. Then came the dazzling butterflies with their dance performance as a tribute the seniors wishing them good luck for their next adventures. The second years were overwhelmed with the performance.
Time for the tongue twister! We had a tongue twister for the Second years where in the had to repeat the following phrase thrice at a faster pace ‘The big bug bit the little beetle but the little beetle bit the big bug back’ and Mrs. Ashtrida was the winner here.
Then we had our coordinator Sir. Allan Abreo with his words of wisdom. Mrs Astrida spoke few words telling about her journey in this institute and also thanked all the teachers for their support and guidance in the form of a poetry. Our administrator, Rev. Prof. Simon Diniz who added up and enlightened our minds with his kind words.
All the students were then facilitated and given a small token of appreciation. Every beginning has an ending. And every end has a new beginning keeping this in mind the programme got over around 1:15 p.m
